Basic literacy skills
Possesses or will obtain a valid CDL in either Class A or Class B with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements
Pass annual physical exam by a licensed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy within 60 days
prior to the first day of school, in accordance with the approved examination (DE Form 0514) prescribed by the State Board of Education
Submit to and pass drug and alcohol testing as prescribed in Federal, State and Local standards
Be of moral character
Demonstrate mental and emotional stability which ensures the normal driving competency and efficiency
Minimum of 18 years of age
Minimum of 2 years driving experience
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control
Physical Demands: Continual sitting, reaching, and
repetitive hand/arm movements.Environmental Demands: Ability to work indoors and outdoors,
moderate exposure to extreme
temperatures and vehicle fumes.School bus with either manually or air operated seat or door as assigned by transportation director.
