The Department of Anthropology and the Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women invite applications for the Louise Lamphere Visiting Assistant Professorship in Anthropology, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, appointment to be effective July 1, 2026. The annual salary for this position is $75,000. Candidates should have a scholarly focus on and expertise in gender studies and a Ph.D. in Anthropology or a related discipline by the time of appointment. The teaching load of this appointment is three courses per academic year, including an undergraduate course on the anthropology of gender and sexuality.
This two-year Visiting Professorship is not renewable. Initial application materials should include a letter of application, names of three references, and curriculum vitae.
