Job Description

We are actively seeking a part-time General Assembler (25-30 hours per week) to join our team at the State College office. As a fast-growing international high-tech company, we specialize in providing high-performance non-destructive testing solutions for the inspection of critical components.

 

Your Daily Life:

While the daily duties and responsibilities of a General Assembler may vary depending on the manufacturing field, they typically include interpreting assembly instructions and operating various tools. The ideal candidate should be a team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues from different departments.

 

In This Role, You Will:

  • Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering drawings and technical terms
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • Test finished products for defects
  • General labor duties as assigned
  • Maintain the tools used to create products
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must have a high level of detail
  • Manual dexterity while handling small, intricate parts and using hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Quality awareness and adherence to high standard of quality in all work
  • Safety awareness
  • Ability to measure with accuracy
  • Understanding of assembly process and ability to follow all processes and procedures

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Candidate interested in working 25 to 30 hours per week. 
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience with detail oriented work using hand tools
  • Mechanical and technical skills
  • Safety management mindset
  • Focus on quality control
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often small
