SUMMARY: The Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist position is a senior individual contributor role on the accounting team and reports directly to the Accounting Manager. This position performs various tasks supporting and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes. Primary responsibilities include preparing and paying standard invoices, preparing new vendors, and normal account reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform full-cycle accounts payable process, including receiving, coding invoices, processing in-house check requests as well as weekly payment runs in Bill.com
- Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records.
- Assists in G/L close procedures for A/P & Accrued Liabilities for month-end.
- Assists with credit card accruals/journal entries and processing corporate card transaction data.
- Manage CIP Asset Schedules, and other projects as assigned.
- Request W-9s, assist with new vendor set up and maintenance of vendor master/1099s.
- Assess and review AP Aging on a weekly basis and resolve all identified issues.
- Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assists with discrepancy reconciliation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or minimum of four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills; strong process improvement and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
