Job Description

The Intelligent Building Products League Leader is a key position in Digital Energy Solutions LoB, having responsibility for alignment on strategic goals and customer value trade-offs. This role is the Customer interface at highest level, anticipates evolutions in the market, customer needs, competitors positioning & technology trends for a businees that provides connected products to monitor, control and secure building systems.

 

The mission of the role is to simplify and connect our offer, delivering secure, usable data to the software and solutions that operate the environments we work in every day. A key success factor of this role is the ability to set tangible objectives and align squads towards value.

 

The Intelligent Building Products League Leader:


- Sets and cascades the League vision, mission and strategy, including offer portfolio (250 M€ revenues) and overall roadmap to all 132 members of the League, based on 3 continents (North America, Europe, Asia)
- Is accountable for delivering the League mission and achieving our strategic goals (Simplify and rationalise the device portfolio; Make every device data-native and connected; Turn building conditions into usable, trusted data).
- Ensure alignment with LoB/Division/Zone/BU strategy, and coordinate priorities with the League ecosystem: EcostruXures, digital cross division tools & plants.
- Owns the League's budget and manage prioritization
- Ensures execution by supporting and monitoring squad execution, helping remove roadblocks and facilitating collaboration inside and outside the league.
- Coaches, directs and supports a team of customer-centric Product Owners and League Marketing Leads in managing global tradeoffs while monitoring what’s happening within the League and across Leagues to ensure maximum efficiency.

Set the vision and strategy
- Own the League's backlog (offers, strategy and roadmap) & ensure alignment with the LoB/HUB business strategy; coordinate priorities with the League ecosystem
- Own the League's budget, manage the right prioritization between squads and their capacity allocation
- Responsible for business performance (profitability, growth, market share..) and customer value creation
- Responsible for the roadmap execution, innovation, launches, major evolutions and withdrawal

 

Monitor / anticipate customer needs
- Be the customer interface at highest level
- Align on strategic goals and customer value trade-offs
- Anticipate evolutions in market conditions, customer needs, competitors positioning and technology trends

 

Build, follow-up and support the business in collaboration with zones
- Periodic analysis of business performances (volumes, sales, profitability, evolutions)
- Support business (reviews with zones VP, meetings with VIP customers)
- Sponsor to facilitate success for the offer's launch

 

Cascade the strategy to Squads & support execution
- Empower and enable Squads to realize their missions (incl. coordinating with Product Owners and Chapter Leaders to identify the right resources to support the priorities).
- Provide feedback to enable Squads autonomy
- Develop strategies & tactics to meet League stakes while setting direction - the 'what' & the 'why'.
- When a new strategic request comes, cascade it to the appropriate Squad(s) (depending on Squad specififity & capacity)
- Monitor Squads progress towards the League's commitment, ensure overall work alignment and help remove obstacles
- Do trade-offs on escalated issues
- Adapt League structure to the roadmap

 

Facilitate collaboration inside and outside the League
- Collaborate across the organization, share knowledge at all levels to break silos and achieve the best possible results for the organization
- Ensure the right level of synchronization across Squads & between Leagues to guarantee product/system consistency and alignment

 

Be an Agile ambassador
- Be an ambassador of the new ways of working of the organization

 

Qualifications

 

Higher Level Education Diploma / MBA preferred

Strong business acumen and technical knowledge : focus on value creation, growth and serving stakeholders.
Experience in successfully leading large teams in a matrix environment.
Experience in an Agile environment
