Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
- Develop and implement inspection protocols.
- Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
- Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
- Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
- Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- No prior FAA violations
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work location
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and components.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
- Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Typically, 7+ years in a 145 Repair Station environment.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Ability to obtain a repairman Certification
- Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
- Experience with Corridor ERP software
- Computerized maintenance tracking system experience, (CAMP, Traxall, Cescom, etc.)
- Heavy repair, modification and inspection of both metallic and composite structures experience.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Essential Functions:
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs frequently.
- Work in diverse environmental conditions.
