Job Description
  • Reports directly to the school principal who is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the school program
  • Greets all guests entering the office area and communicates with a variety of individuals and groups, including immediate supervisor, education staff, students, parents, sending school district personnel, Archway Programs personnel, and the general public
  • To record and verify all daily, weekly, and quarterly student attendance figures, including entries and withdrawals
  • To accurately record staff attendance to make bi-monthly and monthly payroll reports as designated
  • To receive and distribute all consumable supplies used in the school as required by the principal
  • To compose a variety of materials such as letters, memoranda, bulletins, requisitions, claims, reports, and statistical data from rough drafts or oral instructions
  • Maintains confidentiality of personnel and student matters, and effectively manages time and multiple responsibilities
  • Coordinates all schedules, appointments, and day-to-day activities
  • Oversees/maintains all correspondence/reports/files/supplies/equipment, etc., involved in operation of school
  • Assists school principals in preparing students’ individual educational programs (IEPs).  forwards reports to districts and/or parents
  • Coordinates and supervises student lunch program and school fire drills.
  • Responsible for any miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Serves as emergency back-up to Executive Administrative Assistant reporting to the Executive Department of Education when necessary.
