Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will: Apply mechanical engineering academic background to analyze and diagnose all machinery malfunctioning cases, whether electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, system or other in nature; Implement the installation of Biesse Computer Numerically Controlled industrial fabrication machinery and systems at the customers' sites; Read and interpret design modifications and changes in computer and electromechanical components and systems to adapt and integrate Biesse technology to the customer's manufacturing systems; Coordinate with Biesse and customers' engineers in developing and to implement newly developed designing systems and plans to modify and to integrate; Oversee and conduct test and production run of systems, troubleshooting and modifying, adjusting and repairing any problems; Train customers' staff in operation, maintenance and repair of systems; Provide technical support and repair services as needed; and Additional responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a U.S. bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in mechanical, computer, or industrial engineering, or related field. Must have two years of experience as an engineer installing industrial CNC woodworking machines with integration in working production lines. Two years experience must also include: reading mechanical and pneumatic drawings and documents; reading electrical schematics, European standard; troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems; using Windows, Office, Networking, Cad/Cam, and databases; and training customer base on operations and maintenance of installed equipment. Travel required 90% of the time to various unanticipated customer sites throughout the U.S. Must reside on the West Coast within one hour commute to an airport. New hires must pass background check.
