    Special Education Assistant � Full Time - Connections Program

    Hourly Rate:  $25.60 - $29.41
     
    The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District, a Prek-12 district, is seeking a skilled and experienced special education assistant to work within the special education department at the Luther Conant Elementary School in the Connections Program.   The Connections program supports students with autism.  The assistant will work in a model of service delivery offering academic support in the general education classrooms combined with specialized learning center instruction for small groups and individuals.  


    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide positive behavior supports and academic interventions for students
    • Work with lead teacher to provide academic, social, and emotional support and intervention
    • Work collaboratively with team of general education and special education teachers and therapists
    • Collect data


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in special education or related field preferred
    • Experience in public school setting
    • Experience working with children with disabilities
    • Able to take initiative and work independently
    • Knowledge of early childhood and adolescent development
