    Full-time faculty position, and all curricular orchestras meet as courses during the school day. 
     
    Requirements:
    - Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate - Teacher of Music 

    - Hold a degree in Music Education

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Parsippany Hills and Parsippany High School Orchestra Ensembles
    • Provide instruction during both full ensemble and small group lessons
    • Lead after-school extracurricular Chamber Ensembles
    • Play an active role in the articulation, retention, and recruitment of current and future high school orchestra students
    • Collaborate with fellow Music Department and Parsippany-Troy Hills School District colleagues

       

    Qualifications:

    • Concentration in strings/orchestra
    • Experience teaching instrumental music students in both full ensemble and group lesson settings
    • strong expertise in string pedagogy, orchestra rehearsal techniques, orchestral repertoire, and music theory
    • Capacity to instruct student-musicians at varying levels of performance experience


     Per PTHEA Agreement, the salary range is from $64,350 - $110,040 
    Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Dental, Prescription, and Vision benefits. Sick, Personal, and Family Illness days are included.
