Description

For Machinists $3,000 sign-on bonus: Upon hire, you will receive $1,500 in six months and another $1,500 in one year. The days and times for 1st shift are Monday through Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm. Overtime occurs as necessary. Check out our YouTube video for machining.Starting pay range:

  • Mid-level Candidates: $25-$29/hour
  • Experienced Candidates: $30-$40/hour

Requirements

The CNC Machinist: is responsible for producing parts to specifications using machine tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment. The machinist will:

  • Load and unload machines
  • Change tools
  • Set up CNC machines (Haas, Mazak, Doosan)
  • Perform offsets
  • Edit G and M codes
  • Perform secondary duties (broach, buffer, deburr, grind, etc.)
  • Inspect parts
  • Perform general maintenance on machines
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills (standard and metric)
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to follow work instructions accurately
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work well independently as well as with others
  • Have attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to proficiently read and write in English
  • Ability to follow all safety rules
  • Ability to work independently without guidance
  • Basic understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code and ability to write basic programs
  • Knowledge of machine operations
  • Ability to operate crane
  • Ability to read and understand a blueprint, tolerances, and drafting symbols related to machining
  • Experience with Haas, Mazak and Doosan equipment is a plus
  • Ability to do machining problem solving
  • Ability to solve tooling issues
