Job Summary

The Manager IT Infrastructure, working closely with the CTO, provides strategic and operational leadership for all on-prem and DR-site Mainframe and Distributed Computing, Enterprise Storage Platforms, Network, Telephony and Communications circuits while working closely with the Chief Technology Officer. This role oversees daily technology operations, guides the adoption of new platforms and techniques, and ensures service‑level commitments are consistently met. It also directs disaster recovery and business continuity planning, manages budgets and procurement, and maintains key vendor relationships. By integrating and coordinating core computing functions, the Manager supports reliable, efficient, and forward‑looking technology services that advance corporate objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Selects and manages the staff and resources for Mainframe, Distributed Computing and Network/Telephony Teams.  This includes oversight of technical staff across three teams, and the research, evaluations, recommendations, acquisition and implementation of solutions across our Infrastructure framework.

  • Development and management of the annual budget.

  • Completes the strategic planning for the area and participates in developing long-range technology architecture and strategy as it is applied to all phases of the enterprise’s operations and interactions with its customers and suppliers.

  • Defines paths for necessary capacity increase for all technology within the enterprise.

  • Develops standards for purchasing, identifying, evaluating, selecting, implementing, and managing technologies of the enterprise.

  • Interfaces with internal customers, vendors, other Information Services personnel and corporate management in completion of tasks.

  • Directs efforts of the area to comply with adapted standards and methodologies.

  • Directs the review of the areas planning activity and progress and takes appropriate action.

  • Develops and monitors technology standards .

  • Develops and implements organization changes within the area to support the needs of the various areas within IT and the company.

  • Vendor Relationship Management, HW/SW licensing

  • DR – Represent IT Infrastructure in BCP; DR test – planning, execution, and reporting.

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, economics, or accounting is preferred. 

  • Certifications relevant to the technology supported are preferred.  ITIL Foundations certification is preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in information technology with at least five years of this experience in a supervisory or project leadership role required.

Compensation

$135,440 - $169,300

Exempt Grade 19
