ORGANIZATION: Partners For Quality, Inc.
DEPARTMENT: Maintnance
POSITION: Lead Maintenance Technician
STATUS: Full Time
HOURS: Monday through Friday; 37.5 hours per week, flexibility required to meet the needs of the Department
LOCATION: Wilkinsburg

 

Partners For Quality Inc. is a private, non-profit social services organization based in Robinson Township with a satellite office in the East Hills area. We are the administrative parent company to 5 subsidiaries and are responsible for the Fiscal, Payroll, HR, IT and support services to each. Our subsidiaries include Allegheny Childrens Initiative, Citizen Care, Exceptional Adventures, Milestone Centers and the PFQ Foundation. Through these subsidiaries, we provide community based supports and services to adults and children with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges in Allegheny County.


Responsibilities

Responsible to the Director of Facilities Operations for overseeing all daily maintenance operations and ensuring equipment and facilities are kept in optimal condition. This position combines hand-on maintenance duties with supervisory responsibilities, providing guidance and support to the maintenance technicians. All responsibilities shall be completed in a manner consistent with the Vision, Mission and Values of Milestone Center.

  1. Lead and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team
  2. Train and mentor maintenance technicians, ensuring proper maintenance procedures are followed
  3. Delegate work orders and ensure timely and quality completion
  4. Troubleshoot and repair equipment or facilities systems
  5. Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance schedules
  6. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations
  7. Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspace
  8. Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, inspections, and repairs
  9. Collaborate with management on maintenance priorities and long-term facility needs
  10. Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
  11. Communicate issues, progress, and needs effectively with staff and leadership
  12. Coordinate / assist with internal moves
  13. Provide on-call emergency support on a rotating schedule as assigned
  14. Understanding of and compliance with Maintenance safety and work protocols and PFQ Corporate Personnel Policies and Procedures
  15. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. Five (5) years experience in residential/commercial maintenance and proven experience in electrical, plumbing and general carpentry repairs
  3. One (1) year of leadership experience
  4. Must have a working knowledge to perform the duties noted above
  5. Excellent references, both personal and work
  6. Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  7. Must pass a comprehensive physical exam
  8. Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. without restriction
  9. Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances
