Job Description
Medical Assistant / Clinical Assistant
North Charleston, SC
$20–$22 per hour | Full-Time

 Join a respected medical clinic that has been providing patient care for over 45 years. Our practice attracts patients from across the United States and internationally, giving our team the opportunity to work with unique and complex cases while making a real difference in patients’ lives.

We are looking for a Medical Assistant or Clinical Assistant who enjoys working closely with patients and being part of a collaborative healthcare team.
 
This role combines clinical support, patient education, and administrative coordination in a professional medical environment.
 
Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 1-hour lunch break
  • No weekends

 Pay:
  •  $20 – $22 per hour
 
What You’ll Do:
Clinical Support:
  • Perform blood draws (phlebotomy).
  • Assist with IV administration under physician supervision.
  • Provide and explain laboratory test kits.
  • Record patient histories and assist during appointments.
  • Monitor and document patient information.

Patient Support:
  • Educate patients about testing and treatment processes.
  • Answer patient questions by phone and email.
  • Help guide patients through follow-up care.

Administrative Support:
  • Medical scribing during follow-up appointments (in-office and telehealth).
  • Confirm laboratory testing completion.
  • Assist physicians with letters, reports, and documentation.
  • Help coordinate patient records and communication.

Qualifications:
  • Previous medical assistant or clinical experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and patient service skills.
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic records.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask in a clinical environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
