Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a neat and orderly beach, including (but not limited to) wiping down beach furniture, collecting debris and trash, and performing other tasks that contribute to a well-kept environment
- Ensure smooth flow and control of resort beach towels
- Maintain proper stock levels in the towel hut
- Handle cash and manage merchandise sales for towels, umbrellas, and cabanas
- Ensure the towel area is stocked daily with towels, cleaning supplies, and bathroom supplies
- Remain knowledgeable about the resort and all services and activities offered
- Ensure public area bathrooms are cleaned and stocked with toilet tissue, napkins, and hand soap as needed
- Ensure all chairs, tables, palapas, cushions, and umbrellas are clean, in good repair, and properly aligned before, during, and after each shift
- Ensure the beach deck and surrounding areas are free of unattended towels and are cleaned before and after each shift
- Issue a towel card to every guest before providing a towel and collect it before the end of each shift
- Ensure the assignment sheet is submitted upon completion of daily tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent guest relations and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic operations
- Must be able to work outdoors in all climates
- Must possess a valid Bahamian driver’s license
- Must be able to operate a mobile vehicle with safety and care of attention.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process,
including drug screen and background investigation
