**This is a field sales role in the Ontario East and Eastern Provinces area. You must live in this area for this 40-70% travel role, however minimal overnights**

The Account Manager is responsible for delivering consistent performance results in sales achievement, regional market development and key strategic objectives in the promotion and sales of the Merz Therapeutic product portfolio. Within the defined geographical area, the Account Manager will build strong customer partnerships, assist in the development and implementation of marketing and sales programs, and ensure progression of market penetration.
Major Job Duties for the Account Manager
- Drive Sales: Support and promote sales of the Merz Pharma Canada therapeutic portfolio to designated Neurology and Physical Medicine/Rehab specialists within the defined region.
- Build Relationships: Foster and maintain professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders within the defined region
- Manage a Sales Pipeline: Develop and implement a territory business plan to drive revenue growth and meet revenue objectives for the defined region
- Contribute to Customer Skills & Knowledge: Plan and execute high-value educational programs in partnership with clinical stakeholders to expand knowledge of the Merz Therapeutic Canada portfolio and contribute to enhanced patient care
- Be Customer Facing: Prioritize in-person connection with customers to ensure highest level of account service and to achieve greatest positive business impact
- Document and Report Activities & Results: Consistently document customer interactions in a timely manner and maintain up-to-date records of customer contact information
- Administration: Complete administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, expense submission, territory intelligence and insights sharing, territory and account plan updates, vehicle mileage reports, speaker program logistics, coordination of patient resource requests etc
- Other duties as assigned
Job Related Qualifications & Skills
- Undergraduate University Degree required; Scientific area of study preferred
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required with knowledge and/or experience in neuroscience or related space preferred
- Proven and documented track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives required
- Good oral/written communication skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work independently and be effective with little supervision
- Knowledge of key account management methods
Please note: This role may require a high level of work-hours flexibility and includes evening and weekend work to attend conferences and manage special events. This role requires a significant amount of travel to cover the region adequately. This may include extended driving time and/or air travel as needed.
