Responsibilities & Duties
As the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit Program Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining excellence in care and operations. Your responsibilities will include supporting direct-care staff, overseeing daily unit functions, and ensuring that services remain consistent with best practices in trauma-informed care for children and adolescents experiencing crisis.
· Supervising the delivery of crisis stabilization services for children and adolescents in the residential unit.
· Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
· Training, supervising, and evaluating staff performance.
· Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to CCSU direct-care staff during assigned shifts
- Support the delivery of crisis stabilization services to children and adolescents in a short-term residential setting
- Assist with staff supervision, including mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback
- Ensure staff follow policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times
- Support implementation of individualized treatment and behavior support plans
- Monitor unit activities to maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Respond appropriately to behavioral crises, utilizing approved de-escalation and intervention techniques
- Assist with documentation, shift reports, and communication with clinical and leadership staff
- Help train new staff and model professional, ethical, and trauma-informed care practices
- Communicate effectively with families, community partners, and interdisciplinary team members as needed
- Report incidents, concerns, and trends to the Program Manager or designee
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and agency expectations
Qualifications and Skills as the Program Manager
· Experience working in a residential setting
· 2 years of management experience
· Candidate for Residency or Social Work Supervisee; Resident in Counseling, Social Work Supervise (Preferred, but not required)
· Valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV Record.
