Essential Job Functions
Operations Management: 70%
Develop and monitor the end-to-end supply plan for Skip Hop Domestic Wholesale business segment. Maintain appropriate safety stock levels and inventory targets to support sales plan.
Evaluate inventory portfolio reviews to update SKU rankings and set supply strategies based on item classification.
Leads Domestic Wholesale SKU Rationalization, including analyzing entire sku profile, developing sku sunset strategy, and providing recommendations to influence the line.
Manage the process of creating and maintaining monthly open-to-buy including processing all Domestic Wholesale supply schedule changes.
Partner with the China office to coordinate the delivery of supply by proactively managing factory capacity, managing material commitments, and resolving production issues.
Rebalance open purchase orders based on inventory risks and execute actions to improve future inventory coverage. Communicate impacts of changes in the supply plan to Demand Planning and Domestic Wholesale Sales.
Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to decrease inventory investment and improve customer coverage to meet or exceed inventory and customer service goals.
Manage excess for internal reporting, developing available to sell (ATS) support materials, and partner with Channel Partners and Domestic Wholesale Sales team for selling off product.
Manage seasonal buy / production calendar based on product lead-time and shipping transit time.
Partner with Demand Planning team to evaluate opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and minimize supply risk.
Provide Distribution team with a monthly forecast of inbound and outbound flows for labor and space planning.
Act as the liaison for Carters North American Channel partners, supporting Retail initiatives, coordinating buy process, and communicating any potential risks to supply delivery.
Manage commitment calendar, supply procurement, and inventory reporting for Simple Joys Durables Brand.
Oversee Domestic Wholesale inventory allocation.
Reporting: 20%
Ad hoc reporting and data driven business reviews for senior management as needed to support business needs.
Development of new reporting capabilities to gain efficiencies in daily processes / workload.
Process Optimization 10%
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable analytical tools, dashboards, and metrics that drive key decisions and resource prioritization.
Drive integrated business processes to ensure continuous improvement in inventory management, allocation activities, and end to end product development.
Supervisory / Budgetary / External Communication Responsibility
External communication responsibilities with Demand Planning, Product Development, Sales, Inbound Transportation, and China Office.
Sr. Supply Chain Analyst
Secondary Functions
Process and supply chain capability evaluation for recommendations of enhancements to optimize current practices.
Participate in ad hoc corporate supply chain projects as the representative for Skip Hop Supply Chain.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong sense of urgency to solve multiple complex issues.
Demonstrate ability to identify and escalate potential risks proactively.
Must have ability to communicate and present complex information through data, clearly and concisely, across all levels of management.
High energy, team player with strong collaboration skills who can build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Must have strong analytical skills; specifically, within MS Excel including complex formulas, excel modeling, and the ability to perform calculations and automation to processes large volumes of data.
Proficiency with PowerPoint a plus.
Occasional International travel required.
Prior Work Experience and Educational Requirements
Prefer 5+ years of work experience in Planning and Inventory Management (preferably in Consumer Goods or Children’s/Baby industry)
Bachelor’s degree from 4-year accredited college or university preferred
Background in Supply Chain Operations, Industrial Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred
Compensation for this position ranges from $97,000 - $139,000 based on experience
