Location: Seattle Roots at Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center, Country Doctor Community Clinic, and After-Hours Clinic
Expected Hours: Variable. At least two 4-hour shifts per calendar month

Our salaries are based on a step system, determined by years of experience, and are non-negotiable.
- Physician: $91.80 - $105.80, including 10% premium
- ARNP: $64.26 - $79.35, including 10% premium

Seattle Roots Community Health is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 in Seattle's Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Job Summary
We are hiring passionate and mission-driven locums providers (physicians or ARNPs) to work at our primary care and walk-in care locations.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO, ARNP, or PA degree from an accredited program
- Washington State license (MD/DO, ARNP, or PA)
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine (Physician), Family Nurse
- Practitioner (ARNP), or Family Medicine Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Current DEA license
- Current BLS certification
- Superb clinical judgment and patient-centered interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic and creative approach to solving problems and improving patient care
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Efficient management of electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to adapt to new and evolving information systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Residency and/or at least two years of post-graduate experience in a fast-paced, outpatient community primary care setting, caring for culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse patients
- Personal and/or professional experience working with communities of color, immigrant and refugee communities, LGBTQ communities, and/or individuals struggling with substance use disorder
- Spanish, Amharic, Tigrinya, and/or Somali language skills
Job Responsibilities
- Care for existing patients and new patients of all ages
- Chart all medical encounters according to organizational standards
- Coordinate patient care with clinical support staff and ancillary services as needed
- Consult with and support clinical colleagues including advanced practice clinicians
- Provide whole person care that is respectful of each patient's unique background and personal needs
- Provide medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD, e.g. buprenorphine)
- Perform basic primary care procedures such as skin biopsies and excisions, IUD and Nexplanon placement and removal, joint aspirations and injections, and toenail removals
- Participate in organizational quality improvement activities
- Complete training and continuing medical education to maintain credentialing, licensure, and board certifications
- Participate in the performance evaluation process
- Actively contribute to an inclusive workplace

The Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center or Country Doctor Community Clinic Clinical Site Director
Schedule
On-call shifts. Our clinics are open 8am-9pm on weekdays and 11am-5pm on weekends. Candidates who are willing to work evening, weekend, and holiday week shifts preferred.
