JOB TITLE: Director, Strategic Pursuit


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Strategic Pursuit will join a team hungry to grow topline revenue for CareMetx. The ideal candidate for this role will have relevant healthcare consulting experience and demonstrate an understanding of the commercial sales processes, product solutions, and a proven record of effectively collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders, and an understanding of clients needs and the competitive marketplace. 


In this role you will be shaping the strategies that lead to winning new business. You will shape competitive external communications, connecting our products and solutions to clients’ needs, and package tailored solutions that lead to revenue growth and new clients. This is an exciting opportunity to shape new business growth for a leading product solution company. 


Working under Sales and Marketing leadership you will be responsible for supporting new business initiatives. These could include Request for Proposal (RFP’s)/Request for Information (RFI’s), sales pitches, and overall strategic sales communications to prospective clients through the sales funnel. Strategic synthesis, detail orientation, and time management are key to this role. 


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Essential for this role are robust communication and presentation skills, paired with the ability to synthesize end-to-end solutions to meet clients’ specific needs, and create a differentiated sales proposition.
  2. Manage new business development and solutioning process, including all aspects of proposal development pre-proposal planning activities, kick-off meeting, value proposition conveyance, win theme development, schedule management, action/issue tracking, proposal structure, compliance oversight, writing instructions and team guidance, review team coordination, and production oversight.
  3. Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the customer's needs, market trends, industry challenges, competitive products, and technologies.
  4. Leverage deep understanding of company’s products and solutions and their application to customer’s stated needs to solution competitive responses that drive business growth.
  5. Partner and participate in development of winning proposal sections for consistency and clarity, compliance with solicitation requirements, and alignment with proposed solutions and themes and write/re-write proposal sections as necessary to deliver high-quality, winning proposal product.
  6. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather necessary insights and product details to develop a synthesized solution offer that addresses the clients’ needs and differentiates from competition. 
  7. Manage and direct all proposal efforts to include preparation, revision, and submission; establishes and enforces the proposal schedule.
  8. Contribute to development and refinement of templates and standardized processes to streamline proposal development, ensuring accurate representation of CareMetx operational capabilities and appropriate support of the sales team and sales efforts.
  9. Ensure proposal compliance, checking submission for compliance regularly throughout the proposal cycle.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years pharmaceutical launch and commercial experience in an in-house or consulting environment
  • A proven track record of successfully supporting and driving sales growth and business development
  • Expertise in product solutions, healthcare technology, and applied use cases in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Effective communicator, a skilled presenter, a persuasive software demonstrator, and a strategic thinker. This combination of skills and the ability to forge meaningful relationships will be crucial in fulfilling this role's responsibilities

  • Passion for building cross-functional relationships that drive alignment around brand and business goals
  • Adept at moving between strategy and execution to develop implementation plans that ensure high-quality execution without a pre-existing playbook
  • Key collaborator adept at synthesizing ideas across swimlanes and across multiple product offerings
  • A balance of strategic and business skills, with intellectual agility and capacity for original thought.
