Viridi is headquartered in Buffalo, NY and is excited to be currently expanding into the Richmond, CA area.



The Role:



We are looking for an Assembly Associate with a genuine passion for excellence and a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. The ideal candidate will have experience in light or medium assembly operations. This individual will be mechanically inclined with high energy and a passion to learn new skills. Previous assembly experience preferred but we are willing to train qualified individuals.




Job Responsibilities:





  • Perform assembly of electrical components in both a manual and semi-automated environment.

  • Performs electrical and mechanical installations on machines and other equipment.

  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies

  • Positions and/or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.

  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.

  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer?s instructions, and calling for repairs.

  • Read and decipher assembly instructions.

  • Interprets technical documents, such as diagrams, and/or other verbal or written instructions.

  • Conducts quality control checks as required to ensure correct assembly.

  • Documents actions by completing productions and quality forms.

  • Identifies any defective items and handles them according to established procedures.

  • Participates in daily shift meetings.

  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Adhere to company accountability standards pertaining to attendance, safety, and workmanship

  • Attend training as required and perform other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent, strongly preferred

  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions.

  • Ability to work in a manual assembly operation and willingness to cross train and learn new tasks.

  • A basic understanding of AC/DC currents, strongly preferred

  • Identification of AC/DC designation and of wire coding, strongly preferred.

  • Works well independently and with others.

  • Organized with attention to detail.

  • Posses a strong safety management mindset, especially electrical safety, and a strong focus on quality control.



Physical Requirements:




  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.

  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.

  • Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.



Salary:




  • $20-31/hour, based on experience and qualifications
