The Role:
We are looking for an Assembly Associate with a genuine passion for excellence and a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. The ideal candidate will have experience in light or medium assembly operations. This individual will be mechanically inclined with high energy and a passion to learn new skills. Previous assembly experience preferred but we are willing to train qualified individuals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly of electrical components in both a manual and semi-automated environment.
- Performs electrical and mechanical installations on machines and other equipment.
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies
- Positions and/or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer?s instructions, and calling for repairs.
- Read and decipher assembly instructions.
- Interprets technical documents, such as diagrams, and/or other verbal or written instructions.
- Conducts quality control checks as required to ensure correct assembly.
- Documents actions by completing productions and quality forms.
- Identifies any defective items and handles them according to established procedures.
- Participates in daily shift meetings.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to company accountability standards pertaining to attendance, safety, and workmanship
- Attend training as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, strongly preferred
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions.
- Ability to work in a manual assembly operation and willingness to cross train and learn new tasks.
- A basic understanding of AC/DC currents, strongly preferred
- Identification of AC/DC designation and of wire coding, strongly preferred.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Posses a strong safety management mindset, especially electrical safety, and a strong focus on quality control.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
Salary:
- $20-31/hour, based on experience and qualifications
