The District's Organization:
White Bear Lake Area Schools is a PreK-12 District of nearly 9,000 students in the northeastern suburb of the city of St. Paul and is within twenty (20) minutes of the Twin Cities. The White Bear Lake Area school system consists of nine K-5 elementary buildings serving approximately 4,000 students. In addition to the elementary schools, the district has three early childhood centers, two middle schools (6-8), one high school, an area learning center, and a transition education center.
White Bear Lake Area Schools has demonstrated strong stewardship to our communities. The District's strategic plan helps guide our programming and initiatives. In addition, the District continues to experience area-leading improved measures of student success. White Bear Lake Area Schools has demonstrated strong partnerships with our communities. As examples, the District has partnerships with the YMCA, McPhail Center for Music, White Bear Lake Center for the Arts, Minnesota and international colleges and universities, and area businesses which support the district's goals of high level success for each student, cultural and international experiences, life-long learning opportunities for staff, and innovative educational opportunities.
Salary: Per Principal Agreement
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Closing Date: May 4, 2026
Work Week Schedule: 40 hours per week, 260 working days per year
Position Summary:
Performs complex professional and administrative work, providing educational leadership and developing and implementing innovative, student-focused instructional programs aligned with state and federal guidelines and School Board philosophy, policies, and goals. Serves as Principal/Building Site Leadership Coach and District Literacy Specialist working closely with principals and site leaders to strengthen instructional leadership across the system.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in education administration, teaching, or a related field, and extensive experience in educational leadership or teaching, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in K�6, Special Education, or Reading.
Special Requirements:
Minnesota K-12 Principal License
Minnesota Education Administrator License
