Job Description

Salary Range: $26 - $44 per hour; OT after 8 hours in a day

REQUIRES random drug and alcohol testing throughout the year. The drug test screens for: Marijuana, Amphetamines, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and semi-synthetic opioids: hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, and oxymorphone.

 

Position Summary

Primary focus is close tolerance manual machining of low volume parts that our over 2 dozen CNC Machines cannot finish. Fabricate tooling to support our nearly 80,000 square foot machine shop. Performs setup on and operates a variety of machining equipment including lathes, mills and grinders while working to close tolerances from complex drawings. Collaborates with colleagues to maximize productivity in the precision manufacturing of the highest quality valves & actuators for aerospace and power generation customers

 

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret complex blue prints, shop travelers, and operation sketches for machined and/or fabricated parts.
  • Inspect parts to specifications and document results.
  • Build and install fixtures.
  • Report machinery, tooling or quality issues to supervisor.
  • Run multiple machines as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
  • 5 years of experience in toolmaking or operating a variety of machining equipment to produce parts within tolerances of 5 thousandths or less.
  • Ability to work from complex drawings containing GD&T and perform accurate manual inspections of parts produced.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent; technical certification or degree a plus.

    • The primary environment of this position is the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and proper footwear.
