- This position may have occasional travel between campuses and for training. Occasional after hours may be required.
Position Duties
Academic and Student Services
- Assists in conducting comprehensive needs assessments and individualized success plans for participants.
- Assists in the coordination of academic instruction, tutoring, refresher courses, and testing services.
- Provides pre/post assessments, curriculum documentation, and academic progress tracking.
- Provides direct coaching on college admissions, study skills, financial aid, career pathways, and personal development.
- Aids with completion of financial aid and scholarship applications including FAFSA
- Aids with enrollment in post-secondary education
- Collaborates with CCCC VA Coordinator and external partners to connect veterans to benefits and support services.
Program Compliance and Administration
- Supports the management and maintenance of Blumen data.
- Provides support in the maintenance of participant files (electronic and hard-copy) for eligibility, documentation, progress, and postsecondary enrollment.
- Assists with the preparation and submission of evaluations, satisfaction surveys, and exit surveys.
- Assists in the planning of large-scale events, orientations, workshop series, celebration events, and recognition programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with institutional and federal program needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Required educational background:
Associate Degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
Required kind and number years of work experience:
One-year experience providing academic advising, career counseling, financial Literacy instruction, or personal development services
One-year experience working with low-income, first generation, and/or veteran populations.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Understanding of TRIO or at-risk student populations and support barriers
Ability to use technology and data systems effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Other Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
