Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the daily implementation of programs and activities.   
  • Helps maintain a comfortable environment for the safety, health and well-being of participants.
  • Assists with planning and coordination of activities, including set up and clean up.
  • Helps lead children through a variety of activities including organized sports, swimming, weekly field trips, arts and crafts, and games.
  • Helps process enrollments and registrations for students. Collects payments.
  • May communicate with parents regarding their children daily during drop off and pick up.
  • Follows established safety practices. Administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary.
  • Cleans, sanitizes and organizes classroom.
  • Must complete fifteen (15) training hours annually.

 

Camps that you may be assisting with in this position:

  • Gold Medal Camps – different sport each week
  • Rock Rec Camp – Arts and crafts/swimming/hiking/games/trampolines
  • Multi-Sport Camp – play different sports each day + swimming/trampolines
  • Great Outdoors Camp – hikes/biking/zipline/challenge hill/Sky Trek/Adventure Tower

 

    Minimum Qualifications:

    An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.


    Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years of age

    Licenses and/or Certifications Required:

    • Current CPR, First Aid, Standard Precautions, and Medication Administration Certifications required or ability to obtain such certifications upon hire

    • Must meet appropriate Aid requirements/qualifications and provide all documentation as required by the State of Colorado’s Department of Human Services upon hire

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    • Skill in oral communications for effective expression and clarity.
    • Skill in performing CPR and First Aid.
    • Ability to respond to parent and child concerns with considerable tact and courtesy. 
     

    Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check including Colorado Bureau of Investigations and TRAILS/Central Registry criminal record review as required by the Colorado Department of Social Services prior to commencing employment.
