    We are seeking a caring and student-focused Elementary School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of students in grades K�5. The counselor will implement a comprehensive school counseling program and collaborate with staff, families, and the community to promote student success.
     



    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide individual and small group counseling to support student needs
    • Deliver classroom lessons on social-emotional learning, problem-solving, and positive behavior
    • Assist students with academic planning and goal setting
    • Identify students experiencing challenges and provide appropriate interventions
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development
    • Participate in MTSS, IEP, and 504 plan meetings
    • Maintain accurate and confidential student records
    • Respond to crisis situations and support student safety and well-being
    • Connect families with community resources when needed
       


    Required Qualifications

    • Valid school counselor license or eligibility through the Indiana Department of Education (or applicable state agency)
    • Knowledge of child development and effective counseling strategies
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
       


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in an elementary school setting
    • Familiarity with social-emotional learning (SEL) programs
    • Experience supporting diverse student populations
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams
