    Schedule:   Monday-Friday, 7.25 hours per day; 185 days per academic year with additional summer hours available
     
    Available:  Official start date August 26, 2024.  Additional summer days available.
     
    Responsibilities:
    The BASES paraeducator will report to a designated special education teacher and board-certified behavioral analyst and will:
    • Accompany assigned student throughout the school day to provide behavioral and  academic support
     
    • Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education Teacher and behavior analyst
    • Attend related service sessions with student (ex. speech, OT, PT) and reinforce work in these goal areas
    • Work with other specialists and to implement additional specified goals and objectives
    • Implement programs developed by teacher, behavior analyst and/or consultant with fidelity
    • Maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
    • Plan and implement all aspects of systematic instructional sequences within self-contained classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
    • Meet regularly with behavior analyst, special education teacher, support team
    • Attend staff meetings
    • Provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
    • Participate in ongoing training
     
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; minimum of two years college experience or evidence of having passed the ParaPro Exam required
    • Demonstrate knowledge of special education practices (autism)
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
    • Must be highly motivated and self-directed
     
    Salary & Benefits:  In accordance with the support staff collective bargaining agreement.  Full benefits.
