Job Description

We’re hiring a Product Manager to help shape and grow our Open Banking product portfolio.

Not a Product Owner.
Not a backlog manager.

A Product Manager who connects product decisions to commercial results.

Worldline sits at the heart of New Zealand’s payments infrastructure. We launched EFTPOS in 1989 and have been shaping how Kiwis pay ever since. Today, we’re building the next generation of payments products on open banking technology, with genuinely exciting innovation hitting the market in the near term.

This is a rare opportunity to be right at the centre of it.

What the role is really about

You’ll play a key role in driving the commercial performance of our Payments Innovation products — contributing to revenue targets, pricing strategy, business cases, and go‑to‑market execution.

This is not a role focused on writing user stories and managing ceremonies. You’ll work across a complex stakeholder landscape that includes banks, merchants, technology partners, and our internal leadership, sales, and technology teams.

You need to be just as comfortable:

  • Presenting a commercial case to our executive team
  • As you are explaining a product roadmap to a merchant customer

If you care about outcomes, not outputs, you’ll feel right at home here.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Product Manager who thinks commercially first.

You can:

  • Build a business case, defend it, and be accountable for the result
  • Connect product strategy to revenue, adoption, and customer value
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations without losing momentum.

You’ll bring solid product management experience across the full lifecycle — from ideation through to delivery and post‑launch performance. Agile experience is a given, but you see the backlog as a commercial tool, not just a technical one.

Experience in financial services or payments is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is commercial instinct, credibility with stakeholders, and sound judgement.

Why now?

We’re at an inflection point.

Open banking is live in New Zealand. We have products already in market and more preparing to launch. The payments landscape is shifting — and we intend to lead that change, not follow it.

If you want to ship products that genuinely reshape how New Zealanders pay, this is the role.

Why join Worldline?

You’ll enjoy:

  • Hybrid working and regular connection events
  • A new Auckland CBD office with harbour views, on‑site café, bar, and gym
  • Subsidised massage therapy — yes, really
  • Bonus potential
  • A strong rewards and recognition programme
  • A people‑first culture built on genuine flexibility and trust

We’re proud to be recognised as a Top Employer, Great Place to Work, and winner of Small Workplace of the Year at the HeadFit Awards.
