Experienced Electrical Engineer

Description


Provide electrical engineering for multiple projects at one time. Must be able to lead and execute detailed electrical engineering, work well as a member of a team, give instructions to electrical designers, meet client expectations, and deliver projects by given deadlines.


Position Duties/Responsibilities:

· Deliver electrical engineering expertise to support the design of electrical design packages and RFQ packages with on-time delivery to client.

· Research, understand and apply applicable codes, standards, and regulations from NEC, API, IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, etc.

· Conduct power system studies such as arc flash, load flow, and short circuit analysis using ETAP and SKM.

· Generate electrical design deliverables such as cable tray, grounding, and lighting plans, one-line diagrams, motor schematics, relay settings, area classification, UPS design, cable schedules, and any other electrical designs as required by the client.

· Analyze specifications and review the installation requirements for various pieces of electrical equipment

· Perform quality control reviews on client deliverables.

· Collaborate daily with engineers, designers, and project managers on project status, designs, and process.

· Ensure that installations and applications are in accordance with clients’ needs and safety standards.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.

· Four (4)+ years related experience required.

· Knowledge and experience with medium/low voltage power, motor starters, VFDs, transformers, and related electrical equipment.

· Experience with instrumentation and control systems a “plus”.

· Intermediate to Expert skills in Excel

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conduct meetings and presentations.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with quick responses to new issues.

· Ability to work on multiple projects at one time, prioritize tasks, and delegate when appropriate.


  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to sit, stoop, prolonged walking during field trips

· Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.
