Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW


In conjunction with the classroom teacher, the RISE/ALC paraprofessional supports students with developmentally complex learning needs to maintain academic and adaptive skills over the summer. 


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


 



  • Facilitate student learning under direction of the classroom teacher

  • Support student engagement in activities

  • Provide direct instruction as planned by the classroom teacher

  • Support social interactions

  • Assist with coordination and preparation of materials

  • Documentation of skills and/or behaviors as directed by the classroom teacher


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


 



  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with complex learning profiles highly preferred 

  • Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment required


 


SCHEDULE:



  • July 6, 2026 - August 13, 2026

  • 9:00 - 2:00, Monday - Thursday

  • Additional day of training prior to start of program

  • Additional 15 minutes per day for planning and developing materials with classroom teacher
