The primary role of the Vice President is to support the firm's financial reporting, treasury and accounting efforts. In this capacity, the individual will work with senior management to oversee the various financial reporting and accounting activities of the investment advisor and the captive service providers, while assisting in other areas of the firm as necessary.

Responsibilities:

·Manage the day-to-day accounting processes of the investment advisor and the captive service providers, including the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

·Oversee the preparation of financial statements for all entities and ensure they are accurate and timely.

·Oversee and communicate with Barings accounting and third-party service providers on accounting and tax matters.

·Develop and maintain financial models for the investment advisor, including revenue and expense projections.

·Monitor the investment advisor’s performance versus budget and forecast.

·Approve expense reporting in compliance with internal policies and procedures and taking into consideration external compliance requirements.

·Prepare cash flow projections for the investment advisor, the captive service providers and other related entities as required.

·Supervise and provide formal and informal training to junior level staff.

·Complete ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests for senior leadership.

·Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and application of legal agreements including limited partner and operating agreements as they relate to business applications.

·Assist with capital raising presentations and other investor relations requests.

·Perform all other duties as required.

Requirements:

·At least 8 years of related professional experience.

·Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or another related field.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities.

·Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

·Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under pressure.

·Strong understanding of financial analysis, and modeling, and the ability to use financial software including Excel.

·Experience with financial accounting software required.  Workday experience, preferred.

·Highly developed sense of responsibility and initiative.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This position primarily operates in a corporate office environment and involves occasional travel to, and working from, the company’s various assets and offices.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting objects is periodically required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week during standard business hours. Additional work outside of standard business hours is also required.

Travel:

This position requires infrequent out of state overnight travel to locations including client and asset sites, other company office locations, and conferences.
