A high school coach is responsible for leading the team by teaching game strategy, improving player skills, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring player welfare and academic eligibility. Key duties include planning and conducting practices, analyzing player and opponent strengths, designing training programs, managing equipment, communicating with parents, and overseeing player conduct. Qualifications typically include a strong knowledge of the sport, previous playing or coaching experience, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to student-athlete development and academic balance.

All applicants must submit a valid CPR/First Aide certificate, NFHS certificate, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Heat Affiliation verifications, have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a background check and verify that they are negative for TB.
