Entry-Level: Window Installer (Windows, Storefront, Curtain Wall)

Full-Time | Wichita KS

Compensation: S15-18 per hour, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and qualifications. (Paid weekly)

Role Summary

The Glazier installs, repairs, and replaces glass and glazing systems on commercial projects, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and design specifications. This role works with storefronts, curtain walls, interior glass systems, and specialty glazing. The Glazier is a key field position requiring attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a construction team.

No prior experience required. Higgins Group provides hands-on training and opportunities for growth for individuals looking to build a long-term career in construction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, replace, and repair glass systems, including storefronts, curtain walls, windows, and interior glass
  • Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Safely handle, transport, and install glass panels
  • Use hand and power tools, suction cups, lifts, and scaffolding
  • Apply sealants, gaskets, and glazing compounds
  • Inspect finished installations for quality and safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe job site and follow OSHA safety standards
  • Communicate with project managers, and team members

 

What We're Looking For

  • Glazing or construction experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
  • May be required to provide own tools (i.e. tape measure, impact driver, power drill, etc.)
  • Ability to read basic drawings and take measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
