The IT Technician’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks and our top priority is finding the right person who aligns with our culture, mission and integrity-based values.
Headquartered in Sparta, Illinois, Complete Technology Solutions is seeking individuals that are passionate about technology to join our client-focused and collaborative team. Standard work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with paid overtime included as needed.
At CTS, a New Charter Company, we are seeking an entry level Service Desk Technician in Sparta, IL (in other companies this person could hold the title of Technical Support, IT Support Technician I, Help Desk Support Specialist) to provide frontline technical support and resolve common IT issues for end users.
This is an onsite position based in Sparta, IL.
This is an Entry Level position
In this role, you will support end users by handling incoming service requests across systems such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking environments. You will troubleshoot common issues, document resolutions, and ensure timely ticket completion while delivering a strong customer experience.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and a customer-first mindset when supporting end users. You should be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and can think quickly to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Having a genuine desire to learn and grow in IT, combined with the ability to absorb new information and apply it effectively, is essential to succeeding on the service desk.

General job duties include:
- Handle high-volume service desk tickets such as password resets, account updates, and voicemail support
- Provide desktop support including application troubleshooting and user setup
- Assist with printer management and basic network-related issues
- Support phone systems (VOIP) including password resets and schedule updates
- Document all work performed and ensure tickets are resolved within expected timeframes
Required Experience:
- No technical experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to learn and grow in an IT support environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to think quickly and solve basic technical issues
Preferred Experience:
- Prior customer service or related exoerience
- Any technical or help desk experience is a plus
Compensation:
The compensation is expected to start at $18.00/hr. Our offer will be determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
