Swartz Creek Community Schools is seeking a positive, enthusiastic, and committed 7th Grade Football Coach to lead and develop our youngest student-athletes. This coach will play a vital role in teaching the fundamentals of football, instilling strong character values, and helping students grow both on the field and in the classroom.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (coaching experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of football rules, basic techniques, and safe practice methods.
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor middle school student-athletes.
- Must meet MHSAA and district coaching requirements, including:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Concussion Awareness Training
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Must complete all district-required background checks and fingerprinting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and conduct practices that emphasize skill development and teamwork.
- Supervise players at practices and games in a safe and respectful environment.
- Promote academic responsibility, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school staff.
- Work collaboratively with the athletic director and fellow coaches.
