OPPORTUNITY: QC Inspectors (Morning, Afternoon and Weekend Shifts)
We have an opportunity for a qualified individual to join the CGY Manufacturing Quality Department on a permanent basis.
Directly accountable for product control including final inspection, in process inspections, Receiving inspections, documentation and control of non-conforming material; control and verification of production process changes, tooling control, and control of monitoring and measuring devices.
What you will do:
- Acquire knowledge of process specifications and materials.
- Implementation and continual improvement of product inspection plans.
- Perform in-process and final inspection of detail parts, minor and structural assemblies, plans their execution, documentation, and record retention.
- Perform inspection duties to ensure all products, processes and services comply with applicable airworthiness, Company, or customer quality requirements.
- Manage nonconforming material control in accordance with company’s quality assurance procedures.
- Provide assistance in quality review of Engineering Masters.
- Liaise with quality engineering, methods engineering, design engineering and supply chain to develop resolutions and implement root cause corrective actions to technical or quality problems.
- Perform First Article Inspections on detailed parts, minor and major aircraft assemblies
- Manage the control of monitoring and measuring (inspection and test) devices in accordance with established company’s quality assurance procedures.
- Actively participate and contribute as a member of the quality assurance team.
- Monitoring, measuring and communicating product and process metrics.
- Propose and support improvement projects related to quality assurance procedures.
- Participate and support corrective action request as a result of nonconforming trend analysis.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience
- A combination of school and practical training that match the job requirements.
- Able to assist in training of junior employees.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to perform measurements/testing of products, tools and processes and record results.
- Able to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.
