Job Description

Best Point is seeking a dynamic Planned Giving Officer to lead our strategy for Planned Giving and Major Gifts, securing philanthropic support to advance our mission. This role works closely with leadership, board members, and key stakeholders to cultivate donor relationships, expand planned giving initiatives, and enhance donor engagement. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for building lasting donor connections.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute Planned Giving and Major Gifts strategy.

· Cultivate and solicit major donors and planned giving prospects.

· Lead fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and stewardship.

· Collaborate with leadership, board members, and financial professionals.

· Manage donor database, fundraising performance, and compliance.

· Represent the agency and foster a culture of philanthropy.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or CFRE preferred.

· 5-10 years of fundraising experience, focusing on major and planned gifts.

· Proven success in securing six- and seven-figure gifts.

· Strong relationship-building and donor cultivation skills.

· Knowledge of estate planning and charitable giving laws.

· Experience with CRM donor management systems.

Work Environment: 

Professional, fast-paced setting requiring 30 hours/4 days per week, minimal evening/weekend hours and some travel.
