Job Description





Tec-Masters Inc. requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide Air and Missile Defense SME support for the Fires Battle Lab (FBL) in performing Army and Joint directed experimentation, demonstrations, analysis and supporting Institutional training.

The Air Defense Experimentation Specialist must:

Possess a bachelor's degree or higher, have Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC) staff experience or have Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) experience.

Be able to write reports and Executive Summaries (EXSUM) generally free of grammatical errors.

Be able to read and comprehend concept documents.

Be able to attain a military driver's license.

Become RSO and CLS certified within 90 days of contract award and be able to maintain RSO and CLS certification.

Have at least one (1) Air and Missile Defense Specialist

Possess a Secret clearance.

Personnnel will:

  • Develop vignettes and scenarios.
  • Develop training materials for players (if required for the experiment).
  • Develop and administer training on the use of designated simulations (if required for the experiment).
  • Develop force structure and manning requirements for experiments.
  • Perform EADSIM and FFEADS program validation through testing and evaluation of models presented within the FireSim and EADSIM program.
  • Develop and distribute surveys and questionnaires for new concepts and capabilities; develop insights, findings, observations and provide recommendations based on the results of these.
  • Review concept documents and provide feedback when directed.
  • Attend all planning meetings for designated experiments. This includes but is not limited to: Set the Experiment, IPC, MPC, FPC, IPR's and Working Groups.
  • Provide a Road to War brief for FBL led experiments.
  • Provide a written evaluation of the EADSIM model for software engineers describing the accuracy of Air Defense modeling in the simulation.
  • Provide written recommendations for force structure/manning requirements to ensure accurate execution of the experiment.
  • Complete Software Change Requests (SCRs) prior to an experiment. Throughout the experiment, follow up with Problem Ticket Request (PTR), data output requirements, and correct problems/trouble associated with simulations once identified. Contractors shall utilize Government provided format and the Government shall take said input and prioritize these changes with all other SCRs and PTRs.
  • Provide EXSUMS for all experiments, planning meetings, IPRs, ROC, and working groups.
  • Develop a knowledge base on future Air Defense Artillery capabilities and limitations. This includes, but is not limited to weapons (IFPC, THAAD, Patriot, M- SHORAD), munitions, formations, sensors, and MCIS.
  • Assist in experiment design and methodology for the collection of data for Fires Battle Lab experiments.
  • Provide support across the community of practice where Air Defense equities are represented.
  • Provide written reports and EXSUMS are generally free of grammatical errors.
  • Assist in the development of learning demands and study issues for each experiment.
