    At times, the Pleasant Hill School District will seek Volunteer Coaches for a variety of athletics.

     

    A successful volunteer coach will…

     

    • Present and maintain a high level of professionalism as a volunteer coach while demonstrating an exemplary level of integrity within the program.

    • Have sport specific experience

    • Be proficient in methods of instruction sport specific skills

    • Meet MSHSAA Assistant Coaching Requirements according to the guidelines presented in the MSHSAA handbook (sec 3.1)

    • Candidates must complete a background check prior to volunteering

    • The successful candidate will fulfill the duties as follows...

     

    Duties:

     

    • Assist the head coach in program events and practices (items include scoring games, assisting with documentation/communication and tournaments)

    • Assist the head coach in planning, organizing and operating efficient practices and events

    • Assist with the preparation of JV and varsity games (home & away)

    • Attend and assist off-season workouts, camp and activities as deemed necessary by the head coach

    • Be able to effectively communicate with students/athletes regarding their progress, performance and critical needs to improve

    • Be able to effectively communicate with parents
