Posting Summary

The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs provides administrative leadership for all academic related activities. Reporting to the Dean, this position plays a critical role in advancing health professions education through the creation of innovative academic partnerships, new program development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and supporting strategic initiatives to achieve excellence in education.

Minimum Education and Experience



Education and Experience:
  • The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs must hold a doctoral degree in a health profession, and has demonstrated leadership in education, expertise in successful entrepreneurial initiatives and partnership development. Experience in conflict management/resolution with exceptional interpersonal skills are critical.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience in curriculum development, teaching, and assessment in an academic healthcare environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and promote collaborative efforts.
  • Data‑informed decision maker who uses assessment, outcomes data, and stakeholder feedback to guide program development, student success initiatives, and resource allocation.
  • Capacity for strategic thinking, program evaluation, and innovative problem-solving.
