About the job:

The Production Head is responsible for all production operations at the M&S site.

Ensure industrial performance, regulatory and quality compliance, team safety, and achievement of cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
They oversee production teams, optimize processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

A. Operational Management

  • Oversee all production activities to ensure an efficient flow aligned with standards.

  • Maintain and optimize production schedules and capacity planning.

  • Ensure targets related to volumes, timelines, and output quality are consistently met.

B. Continuous Improvement & Performance

  • Identify opportunities to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maximize operational efficiency.

  • Lead Lean / Kaizen initiatives and manage production KPIs.

Promote a culture of problem-solving and operational excellence.

C. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams to ensure high engagement and performance levels.

  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure appropriate training, competencies, and staffing levels.

D. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all Quality (GxP/GMP), HSE, and internal SOP requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, HSE, and Maintenance to maintain a safe and compliant production environment.

  • Support internal and external audits.

E. Resource & Budget Management

  • Ensure the availability of resources (people, materials, equipment).

  • Contribute to budget planning and monitor production-related expenses.

  • Optimize the use of machinery, materials, and manpower.

F. Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Maintain strong communication and alignment with Supply Chain, QA, HSE, Maintenance, and Planning.

  • Represent Production during site leadership meetings, audits, and stakeholder reviews.

  • Report on performance, risks, and improvement plans.

About You :

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing environments, including progressive leadership roles.

  • Proven track record in leading operations, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience in pharma/CHC manufacturing is an asset.

Required Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of production management principles, including the 5 Ms (Methods, Machines, Materials, Manpower, Money).

  • Solid understanding of GMP/GxP requirements and industrial quality systems.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.

Behavioral Skills

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.

  • Analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and make informed decisions quickly.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

5. Position Environment

  • Reports to: Site Head 

  • Scope: Full responsibility over production units at the M&S site.

  • Collaboration: Supply Chain, Quality, HSE, Maintenance, Planning, and Site Leadership.
