    COMPENSATION: Per the Oswego Education Support Professionals Association (OESPA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is currently seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher Assistant.  Special Education Teacher Assistants play a vital role in supporting the academic, behavioral, and health/hygiene needs of our students as directed by Special Education Teachers. 

    Successful candidates will have a desire to assist students with specialized needs to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential, knowledge (or the ability to obtain knowledge of) best practices for working with children and young adults that have specialized needs, skill in applying general written and verbal guidance to specific work situations, and the ability to lift and move up to thirty pounds without assistance or to assist with lifting and moving up to fifty pounds. 

    Selected candidates will receive a competitive salary, $20.50 per hour, and benefit package; participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension plan; a typical thirty-five hour work week; access to medical and dental insurance with a 75% board-paid contribution toward premiums; and a work calendar with 12 paid holidays and winter/spring/summer break off each year.
