Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Records Intern to support our records management team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the maintenance, organization, and digitization of physical and electronic records. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn about data and document management in a professional setting.
Duration:
This is a temporary position, 10 hours per week, with the possibility of extension based on need and performance.
Position Duties
- Assist in organizing, filing, and archiving paper and electronic records
- Prepare documents for scanning and digitization
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of records metadata
- Support in updating and maintaining records databases or logs
- Help conduct audits to identify and correct filing inconsistencies
- Follow established protocols for document retention and destruction
- Collaborate with staff across departments to gather and process records
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Library Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with records management systems or scanning software is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
