Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinic Manager, RN to oversee the day-to-day management and operations of Comprehensive Care and Employee Health services. This role is responsible for clinical excellence, operational efficiency, staff leadership, compliance, and fiscal accountability—while advancing BRG’s mission and Everyday Excellence values.


Job Purpose

The Clinic Manager, RN is responsible for the daily management and operation of assigned departments, making decisions within established guidelines that may significantly impact departmental performance, financial outcomes, and strategic objectives across the organization. This role includes direct staff supervision, budget oversight, and accountability for patient and employee outcomes, while delivering care appropriate to the age population served.


What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership and oversight for daily clinic operations, staffing, workflows, and service delivery.
  • Manage and monitor departmental budgets, productivity, and cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff, including hiring, performance reviews, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Ensure department goals, priorities, and performance measures align with BRG philosophy and strategic objectives.
  • Promote high-quality, patient-focused and employee-focused care through interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards (including Joint Commission), and legal guidelines.
  • Lead performance improvement and quality initiatives using data-driven decision making.
  • Coordinate staffing plans to meet patient, employee, and operational needs, including seasonal or market-based changes.
  • Respond to and manage operational, patient care, and employee concerns with timely and effective solutions.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and advisor to staff, supporting ethical, legal, and professional practice.
  • Maintain a strong culture of patient and employee safety through proactive communication and reporting.
  • Participate in departmental planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current Louisiana licensure
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience required
  • Prior experience in clinic management, employee health, occupational health, or leadership strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operations, budgets, staffing, and performance outcomes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Commitment to ethical practice, compliance, safety, and quality improvement
