At Bay Area Rehabilitation Center, we are committed to helping individuals of all ages reach their fullest potential through compassionate, high-quality therapy services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing team in Baytown, Texas.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia). This role also includes supervision of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs 
  • Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based, patient-centered practices 
  • Treat speech, language, voice, fluency, communication, and swallowing disorders 
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive care 
  • Educate and support families with strategies to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress 
  • Supervise and mentor an SLPA in accordance with state and professional guidelines

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program 
  • Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist 
  • CCC-SLP credential and qualifications required to supervise an SLPA 
  • Experience evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders 
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and assistive communication technology is a plus 
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred
