This role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, providing you with a unique opportunity to balance work and personal life effectively.
What You'll Do
• Electrical Repairs: Assist in the repair of 480 Volt 3-phase, 220 Volt & 110 Volt single-phase motor starters and controls.
• Mechanical Repairs: Assist in the replacement of motors, including 480 Volt 3-phase motors, DC motors up to 700 HP, and small single-phase motors.
• Schematics: Read and understand electrical schematics for equipment controls and assist in troubleshooting equipment failures.
• PLC Controls: Read PLC control logic and troubleshoot PLC controls at input and output levels.
• Feeder Systems: Set up and troubleshoot raw material feeder systems.
• Mechanical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including hydraulics/pneumatics valves, pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and slide-gates.
• Welding: Use arch, wire, and cutting welding equipment for minor repairs or fabrication of parts.
• Flexibility: Work required times to provide coverage outside of regular schedule.
• Documentation: Read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondences.
• Mathematical Skills: Perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Requirements
• Previous electrical and mechanical experience 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of extruders and accompanying equipment, basic computer skills, forklift operation.
• Must meet specific physical requirements, including lifting and moving materials, and specific vision abilities.
