Job Summary

The Summer School Principal oversees a five-week PK–5th grade summer program designed to support student growth, build confidence, and foster a positive learning experience. The program emphasizes creating an engaging and supportive environment in which all students have access to high-quality instruction that promotes both academic acceleration and meaningful, enjoyable learning. The Principal ensures that each student is supported in achieving success through a well-structured and student-centered program.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications
• Valid teaching and administrative credentials required
• Experience working with elementary students preferred
• Strong communication skills & the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, & staff
• Commitment to supporting all students in achieving success

Comments and Other Information

Summer School Details
• Program runs five days a week for five weeks (June 15, 2026 - July 13, 2026)
• Daily administrator schedule is 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Summer Responsibilities
• Oversee all aspects of daily school operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and ongoing support
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn
• Provide instructional leadership to ensure high-quality teaching that supports both learning acceleration and enrichment
• Monitor student progress and ensure timely, effective communication with families and staff, as appropriate
• Collaborate with District leadership to ensure alignment with program goals and adherence to District policies and procedures
