The Department of Economics at Dartmouth College invites applications for a Postbaccalaureate Fellow (PBF), at the rank of postgraduate research associate, in the area(s) of trade and development. The fellow will work with professors Matthew Grant and Meredith Startz on projects around international and domestic supply chains in developing countries, distribution of consumer goods, and access to finance for small businesses.

The fellow’s responsibilities include:

  • Supporting data collection, including programming surveys in SurveyCTO, overseeing quality monitoring of incoming data, and assisting with random sampling protocols.
  • Conducting economic analysis, including running regressions and constructing associated tables and figures.
  • Communicating findings, including supporting manuscript preparation and writing reports to share with partners.
  • Providing teaching assistance for undergraduate research courses.

Postbaccalaureate Fellows (PBFs) will work with faculty supporting and conducting scholarly research and teaching, in anticipation of advancing their skills and experience to prepare for the next stage of their careers. PBFs are expected to contribute to all stages of research – including research design, literature searches, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data and writing reports and papers.
