Position Summary
The Coordinator will work collaboratively with other members of the PR & Communications team and the Business Development department to support the firm’s global PR strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Draft various content, including external announcements and write-ups for the firm’s website.
Field and research press inquiries.
Monitor, compile and distribute to firm leadership news coverage of the firm.
Develop media lists for distribution of firm news.
Assist with media outreach around firm news.
Distribute press releasees over wire services.
Research opportunities for and facilitating placement of bylined articles.
Coordinate article reprint process.
Prepare reports of media relations activity.
Assist with various other research projects.
Ensure consistency with the firm’s brand and editorial guidelines across materials.
Qualifications/Position Requirements
Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills
Excellent judgment and discretion
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
Education and/or Experience
1-2 years of experience in PR/media relations/corporate communications. Law firm or other professional services firm preferred.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, media/public relations, marketing or a related field
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
