Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile, hardworking, and enthusiastic Holmstead Ranch Housekeeper to join our team. This unique role blends hospitality, ranch duties, outdoor upkeep, and animal care. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys a variety of daily tasks, and takes pride in helping create a clean, safe, and welcoming experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Provide friendly, professional, and respectful interactions with guests at all times.
  • Respond politely to guest requests such as extra towels, toiletries, or general information about the resort.
  • Assist guests with basic questions regarding amenities, activities, and property features.
  • Respect guest privacy, personal belongings, and room boundaries during all cleaning tasks.
  • Promptly communicate guest concerns, maintenance needs, or service requests to management.
  • Use the POS system in the gift shop to assist with purchases, answer guest questions, and provide basic retail support.
  • Represent Holmstead Ranch Resort with a positive attitude and commitment to exceptional service.

Guest Accommodation & Indoor Cleaning

  • Clean and maintain lakeside cabins, woodside cabins, cottage suites, glamping cabins, and glamping wagons to hotel-quality standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, and prepare guest spaces with clean, neatly presented bedding.
  • Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop all guest areas.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, and flooring.
  • Restock toiletries, towels, linens, and other guest supplies.
  • Empty trash and recycling in cabins, lodges, and common areas.
  • Perform deep-cleaning tasks as needed, such as windows, upholstery, and furniture polishing.
  • Report maintenance needs, damages, or safety concerns promptly.

Outdoor Cleaning & Property Care

  • Clean and maintain outdoor recreational areas, including playgrounds, basketball courts, corn hole areas, picnic spaces, pathways, camping areas, and glamping zones.
  • Pick up debris, sweep walkways, tidy seating areas, and maintain general outdoor cleanliness to guest-ready standards.
  • Support seasonal deep cleaning and preparation of all outdoor activity spaces.
  • Assist in caring for ranch animals such as alpacas and peacocks.

Events & Operations Support

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, activities, and group functions.
  • Support maintenance projects and general property upkeep as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members during busy periods, special events, or emergencies.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management to help ensure the smooth operation of the resort.
  • Adapt to seasonal and situational needs, including outdoor projects, guest services, or ranch-related tasks.

Physical Requirements

This position requires significant physical activity. Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, and snow).
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as cleaning, scrubbing, and making beds.
  • Safely interact with animals and occasionally handle them when needed.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, or uneven terrain safely.
